Pete Marinovich

Born: October 22, 1957, Port Sulphur, Louisiana. Youngest of seven siblings

Armed with a classical guitar abandoned by an older sister, a small stack of hard rock records used by an older brother, and recent memories of a trip to Cape Cod where he saw his aunt play flamenco, a seven year old Pete began playing.

Lived in south Louisiana till age 29. Louisiana occupations included, but were not limited to: mate on a shrimp boat, offshore worker, cabinet maker, graphic artist, rock musician.

Moved to Maryland in 1987. Studied Shaolin Long Fist Kung Fu for 5 years. Maryland occupations included: graphic artist, jazz musician.

Foreign travels: Jamaica, Brazil, Serbia, Croatia, Slovenia, Italy, Bahamas, Bolivia.

Currently lives in Rockville, Maryland with his two dogs, Molli and Ditka, and son Douglas.He have always found the beauty of the guitar more compelling than almost anything.

Nude with Guitar, his first album, was created without the aid of a major record label or industry producer. He is very pleased with the reviews that it has received.

Often referred to as a guitarist's guitarist, Pete Marinovich's music has an appeal that transcends genres.

His eclectic musical background and devout study of various contemporary guitar virtuosos are evident in every song.
