Originally from Chicago, White's playing encompasses a versatile blend of rock, R&B, and jazz which is evident in his studio and live associations over the years with Horace Silver, Patrice Rushen, Ronnie Laws, Rickie Lee Jones, Teena Marie, Luther Vandeross, Stanley Turrentine, Beorge Benson, David Sanborn, Whitney Houston, George Duke, and the Four Tops, among countless others. From 1985 through 1992, White was a member of the popular soul band Frankie Beverly & Maze, earning him four gold records. |
