Joe Ercole
Joe Ercole (pronounced AIR-coal) graduated Summa Cum Laude from one of the most prestigious (and toughest) music schools in the world, Berklee College of Music - the same school that Diana Krall, Pat Metheny, Quincy Jones, and countless other great musicians have attended. While at Berklee, Joe transcribed by ear, note for note, both hands of Joe Sample's jazz classic, Rainbow Seeker. Manhattan Nights is a collection of songs in which Joe Ercole's dynamic keyboard playing really shines. His virtuoso style is reminiscent of Joe Sample, Bob James, and David Benoit - sophisticated and soulful, intriguing and timeless. Joe wrote all the songs on Manhattan Nights except one, Lennon and McCartney's Blackbird, which Joe gives a unique funky-jazz flavor. Joe's grandparents immigrated to the United States from Italy, and arrived in Manhattan. The family then moved on to Baltimore, Maryland, where Joe still resides. Manhattan maintains a special place in Joe Ercole's heart, and Manhattan Nights will hopefully find a special place in yours. You can email Joe Ercole at JoeErcole@slimman.com |
