Pacific Breeze Band

 

 

Pacific Breeze consists of six talented musicians who play a variety of music. "Walkin", the title of their premier CD, released in October, 1997, is a great example of the bands versatility in their writing styles.They are always complimented on their creativity when playing different styles of music, such as jazz, rhythm and blues, pop and blues.

Pacific Breeze was established in 1991 when Lloyd Huggins, Bernard Williams and Charles Dollison decided to add to their trio. Joe Washington joined Pacific Breeze in 1994 and the group began to increase their popularity throughout the Inland Empire of Southern California. In 1998, Henry Alexander and Tony Brown came aboard to further intensify the group's rich warm sound.

  • Tenor, Alto, Soprano Saxophones

    Henry Alexander, from Los Angeles, California, brings to the group 18 years of experience in performing and recording. Henry was educated at Fullerton College in Fullerton California, Los Angeles City College and Dick Grove School of Music in Hollywood, California.

  • Drums, Vocals

Tony Brown was born and raised in Richmond, California. He has 15 years of experience in jazz, big band, pop and R & B styles. Tony moved to Long Beach, California in 1981 where he studied all styles of music at Cal. State Long Beach.

  • All Keyboards and Organs

    Charles Dollison, from Muncie, Indiana, has been playing as a freelance musician for over 17 years with a variety of well-known jazz greats such as Phil Perry, Norman Brown and Najee. Charles is also an excellent composer as displayed in some of the bands original songs.

  • Lead Vocals, Percussions

    Lloyd Huggins sang and played with many groups while growing up in Ohio. He decided to move to California to pursue his goal as a professional entertainer. He brings 20 years of experience to the group and is a graduate of Ohio State university where he sang in the gospel choral group. He is also an excellent writer, arranger, engineer and producer as well as the bandleader.

    Joe Washington arrived to California via Richmond, Virginia. Joe is a graduate of MIT School of Music in Hollywood, California where he studied all music styles and studied classical guitar at Los Angeles City College. Joe also writes, engineers and produces in his home studio.

  • 4, 5, 6 String Bass Guitars

Bernard Williams moved to California from Ohio to pursue his goal as a professional musician. He brings over 21 years of experience to the band and is known for his writing and composing abilities, especially in the studio. He is also an excellent sound engineer and displays that ability in live performances.
