One of Houston's most successful R&B/smooth jazz bands.  Led by recording artist Gary-Michael Dahl, who is lead vocalist, keyboardist and songwriter, the band has performed at many of Houston's largest events:  International Festival, Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo, Mardi Gras with Otis Day and the Nights, Party On The Plaza, Jazz On The Plaza and many more.  The band or members have worked with or opened for B.B. King, Phil Collins, the O.J.s etc., performed for the Houston Rockets, President George Bush, Jesse Jackson, Mayors Bob Lanier, Lee Brown and Kathy Whitmire and played concerts in conjunction with SUNNY 99.1, MAGIC 102, KRBE 104, Donna Mackenzie (Z107), Stevens & Pruett (101 KLOL), John Landers (93Q), NASA, Walt Disney and more.  They have also made many local and national TV appearances.

The G-MD Band is extremely versatile and can perform R&B, jazz, Top-40 rock, Latin, reggae, standards, country, zydeco and outstanding original material.  Dahl's 4+ octave vocal range allows him to sing an incredible variety of songs.  The band consists of keyboards, guitar, bass and drums (all members are also vocalists).  Sax, percussion and extra vocalists are added for some larger events.  Can provide listening, background, or high-energy dance music.
