Michael Vince

Guitarist and multi-instrumentalist Michael Vince combines an appealing blend of jazz, funk, and soul to deliver his own brand of smooth jazz instrumentals. Michael has recently completed writing his debut EP, which features both electric and nylon string acoustic guitar.

The material for Vince's EP has already attracted the attention of smooth jazz artist and super-producer Paul Brown, who shares production credits on the album. Vince's debut also features performances by saxophonist Anthony Long and noted smooth jazz session bassist Roberto Vally.

In addition, Michael recently contributed a tune to Paul Brown's third and up-coming album release due out in 2007. Michael wrote and arranged the tune and also performed the drum programming and keyboards for the track. Also joining Paul and Michael on this one is smooth jazz trumpeter Rick Braun.

In the mid and late 90s, before meeting Paul Brown, Vince enjoyed a successful stint as a writer and performer with the Texas-based jazz/fusion group, 12:30pm Band. During that time Vince and the band garnered favorable reviews in and around northern Texas and southern Oklahoma while receiving radio airplay throughout the Midwest, as well as in New York and Philadelphia.

Since that time, Michael has toured and performed live with a variety of musical groups, including local & regional pop/rock, soul and jazz bands.
