The American Bennett B(randeis) is not known here, but he is a guitar virtuoso, known for his soulful melodies, exciting performances and a rich career as an artist on the Billboard charts.

Bennett has already won 5 ASCAP Awards, and has released seven albums. He once toured his homeland with Marilyn McCoo & the re-established vocal group Fifth Dimension. But Bennett has also performed on stages in Europe and South America.

For his latest album he composed all the tracks himself, and besides 'Hope, Audrey' he also mixed them himself. The songs vary from gospel with a touch of funk, over smooth jazz, contemporary jazz, Neo-soul, world music to a jazz ballad and sensitive acoustic ballads.

Opener 'The River' starts very funky, with a relaxed smooth jazz piano on top of it. The title track is a relaxed smooth jazz track, after which 'Makin' Love' forms a romantic ballad. The ballad 'One Good Love' was sung by Amelia Ong, while the acoustic 'Moonlight' is a romantic interlude. 'Om Namo Bhagavate Amor' takes me to India, accompanied by Archita Prasad and Ben Macrory, later evolves into EDM, followed by a party with a gospel choir!

Contemporary jazz, on the other hand, is the theme of 'Kiwano', followed by 'Java Flower' that transports me to Indonesia with a New Age-like track. Syafril Firdeus plays the flute. The jazz ballad 'Orchid' received wordless vocals from Archita Prasad.

On 'Another Chance' you can hear Bennett playing nylon guitar against an orchestral background. Closing track 'Hope, Audrey' is a tribute to his mother, with the help of Joe Porcaro on percussion, Andy Suzuki on sax and Louis Durra on piano and synthesizer.

A varied album that offers something for everyone. This immediately proves Bennett's versatile talent. Quite fun
