When Castella of Long Beach, California released her hit song "Let Me Love You" on her birthday in 2020, she had no idea how it would do.

That led to a Central Standard Time Show Artist of the Year Award, as well as nominations for Best Female Artist of the Year and Newcomer of the Year. Castella immediately became known in smooth jazz and soul circles.

However, she had released her debut EP "Thinking About You" the year before, while she was still working as a Human Resources (HR) Executive.

After that, she released the Christmas song 'Sleigh Ride', which caused this EP to be postponed. Next came the track 'Mojito' from her debut EP as a single, and she worked on the new release of 'So Glad I Met You', which was then remixed by producer Tom Glide.

For the release of the EP she teamed up with producers Jeff Canady and Darryl Swann. It opens with the beautiful title track, indeed a mix of smooth jazz and soul. 'So Glad I Met You' is a bit more up-tempo, even danceable, and features trumpeter Willie Bradley. ‘So into You’ is the third single from it, a soulful remake of the Atlanta Rhythm Section track.

Furthermore, Castella also recorded a beautiful cover of the jazz standard 'My Funny Valentine', but this time with a smooth jazz touch. 'It's on Right Now' is a danceable track, with a lot of R&B and soul. As a closing you hear the remix version of 'So Glad I Met You', which I mentioned above.

A wonderful introduction to this talented artist, of whom we will certainly hear again!
