Hungarian-born keyboardist, composer, producer, arranger Attila Molnar found his new home in Washington DC. Since 1997 he is an in-demand musician sharing the stage with Jaared, Slim Man, Tim Bowman, U-Nam, Randy Scott and Marion Meadows, to name a few. He started his solo career with the album Dreams in 2009. Currently he is working on his new album, which will present as special guest Peter White, with whom he is currently touring in the UK. Also in the making is a Christmas project, which will be released in late 2012. For those, who have missed this interesting debut album, here some more information. Attila invited to these recordings Jaared (sax), Nicki Gonzales (vocals), Lalo Carrillo (bass), Victor Loyo (drums), Bennett Scher (guitar), Nagyi Molni (acoustic guitar) and Don Pipu (percussions). With the exception of one cover song Attila wrote, composed and arranged all songs. Attitude is not only a tendency or orientation, especially of the mind but also the starting track of Attila's debut album. A premier recommendation, inviting with intriguing piano play and dynamic horn arrangement. On Two Hearts Jaared (sax) and Attila (Rhodes) flatter your auditory channels with a sultry melody. Attila's jazzy improvisations are a welcome addition. Many people know Debussy’ s piano music by the opus Rêverie. Dreams is Attila Molnar's musical milestone in the smooth jazz genre. Attila postulates the next song simply The Best. Lovers of Shakatak's music will go for the similarity to Bill Sharpe's light-handed piano style. My Daisy is dedicated to Attila's wife, a constant inspiration for the great keyboardist. Originally performed by the British group Bad Company in 1975 Feel Like Making Love was covered by numerous smooth jazz artists like Bob James, Larry Carlton, George Benson and more. Attila Molnar's rendition is distinguished by its love for details. On Secret Place Attila follows the musical path of the late Joe Zawinul. Lalo Carrillo says "Hello!" to Victor Bailey's fretless bass. The following song True has more the character of a smooth jazz counterpart. Bass player Lalo Carrillo shines anew on the romantic Caribbean Eve. The Bossa flavored Close To You presents Nagyi Molni with a brilliant acoustic guitar solo making Peter White jealous. La Isla Loca is a dynamic Salsa peppered piano play. What's Going Down! takes the road to a swinging jazz. With his debut album Dreams Attila Molnar demonstrates his musical prowess as keyboardist and his impressive diversity as composer and arranger. With such a talented keyboardist each group will be enriched.
